I guess its pretty much written in stone now huh? Impressive memory clock. Anyone ever see a 100% increase in memory speeds like this? over 1 generation

Specs look good. Still no benchmarks, unfortunately.

4800s got 32TMU, the 3800s got 16 TMU

And 8800gts has 64 TMU. They should give 4870 even more.

What about the 8800GTX/Ultra? Both only have 32 TMU's as well.

excatly, i think the TMUs were added to compnesate for 768-> 512 and 384-> 256.

That's interesting. Are the TMUs comparable between ATI and NVidia? For example, I know you can't compare the "320" shaders in a 3800 to the shaders in the 8000/9000 series because they are architecturally different. Are the TMUs/ROPs identical?

They have 480 shaders. :0 Their shader clock have been increased I wonder if this actually makes 3DMark better or game better. :lol:

I think its enough, It seems that ATI really tested the R600 to see what the bottleneck was. They've had plenty of time to improve so I think its fine. They might have nailed this arch right on the head.
