I'm trying to decide which of these processors I want to buy, and one thing that I've notice is the significant price differences.

1. Allendale E2220 $60-80

2. E7200 $154

3. E6420 $180

The price is much different, but performance wise, would it be that much different?

Any recommendations on the CPU choices?

Would it make any difference if i planned on overclocking?

rule out the e6420 straight off
if you will Overclock, get the e2220, and OC it to 3 ghz, if not OCing, i reccomend the e7200 (or an e8400/200 if you can stretch that far
