This is quite an interesting article guys, makes a nice 'follow-up' of sorts to the article about gpu vs cpu upgrading thats toms is running right now.  This article also shows a nice comparison of k8 (athlon 4850E) versus k10 (Phenom 9850): both running at the same clock speed but the quad core is generally quite alot faster.  Seems like clock-for-clock the K10 is faster than the K8 after all, and I doubt that all of these games take advantage of more than 2 cores, or are that cpu intensive in the first place.  COD4 seems like an interesting example for that very reason.  Happy reading everyone:

My only question is, why didn't they use an nVidia 750a board for the AMD rigs, would put it in the same level as the 750i board they used for the intel rigs.
