Startup problem with dell inspiron 530s

Hello,
My Dell Inspiron 530S pc has stopped working all of a sudden. Even after restarting many a times, it doesn't get started. I did visit some computer service centres and they said my pc's motherboard is damaged and it wont get repaired. But i dont think so, as whenever i try to start my pc, all the fans and one led light (amber colour) built in the motherboard seems to be working properly, but theres no startup beep or nothing is coming on the monitor, my monitor just gets blank display. I dont know what to do, Please help me with this..

No, my brother took the PC to the local computer shop and they checked and said the there's a problem with the motherboard. but i dont think that the reply they have given to me was proper or sufficient to the problem i am facing with the pc. do you have any suggestion on the issue with the pc not getting bootup? pls reply..
