<Scottish accent (think Sean Connery)>
I pose a conundrum to you.
What's the difference between you, and a mallard with a cold?

Well, one's a sick duck, and... I can't remember how it ends, but your
mother's a whore.

Well, I mean no harm. Just some jiggery pokery. Of course, it might've
been truly insulting, so I'll make it up to him:

John Doe, if your mother truly was a whore, all you need do is say so
and I will apologize for my tastelessness immediately.
