Looking to go from AMD to Intel for both me and a ground up build for my friend. Cant seem to find much on what boards support the new 45nm technologies, I know some can without anything done to them, some need Bios updates, and some motherboards cant at all. Also how do I flash the Bios without a working lg775 prossessor if I go with one that needs to be flashed? any recomendations would be nice, not looking for anything to special and in the 100 range would be nice ^.^

Just get a nice Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3x MB, and buy from a vendor with high stock turnover, like newegg, so you get a recently-made board.

thanks mondoman, was looking at gigabyte in the first place, they seem to make good overall boards, along with asus. also any Ram recomendations?

Just get some good DDR2-800 RAM spec'd at 1.8V-1.9V (no higher!). This is a decent 2x2GB kit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820146692
