Hi,

I'm looking into building a new system within the next month and I'm not sure what would be the most efficient way to deal with the FSB clock speed discrepancies between the 1333mhz of the processor and the 1066mhz of the standard in DDR2 ram. The mobo supports 1066 or 1333. I know it's better to set the speeds so they will sync. What's the best ram to get in order to accomplish this? And what speed to set it to in the BIOS? Thanks in advance.

You would have to use 667 memory to get a 1:1 ratio_Or set the fsb to 400 in bios and use 800mhz memory to get a 1:1 ratio.(FSB is quad pumped so whatever you set it at in bios multiply it by 4.)(Memory is X2)But dont worry about all that sync stuff anymore.Im using 1066 ballistix w/an E8400 at stock and I get better performance as opposed to using 667 for a 1:1 ratio. And I notice the difference when playing games.I have a 5:8 ratio.Go with 1066 or even 1150 and you wont be sorry. You will be if you pay tons of extra $ for that ddr3 though.
