I got 5254!
Intel Q6600 @ Stock
XFX GF8800GTS 512 XXX
4GB 800Mhz DDR2

(As a comparison I got just under 12000 with 3DMark 2006 with the same)
and it begins.

Indeed
I know it has no bearing on gameplay but it's fun anyway.
Top bench has a score of 20000 with a QX9775 @ 4Ghz coupled with a 9800GX2. Bet they won't get 4 times my frame rate on Crysis.
Here we go
Who has the biggest e-pennis?
3DMark Score P5373 3DMarks
CPU Score 6050
Graphics Score 5179
So basically I have to download the ~500MB file and can only run it once with out shelling out $7? Not cool.

It acts like i can run it again, although its a painful experience so i have yet to try. It also does not let you save your score....the only option is to bookmark it.
Ok, i was able to run it again, but it doesnt seem to want to let me view my score

no way this is going to be cool, finally a new bench system to take advantage of Vista and DX10.
when i get home ill paste mine up there, very close system to you.
3146
ASUS M2N-E nForce 540U
AMD Athlon 64 4800+ X2 Dual Core
2GB DDR2 @667 Kingston 2x 1GB Dual Channel
Gigabyte 7800GT 256MB stock @400/1000
WD 160GB SATA
Creative SB Live 6.1
Codegen 500W Dual +12V
seeing as this is vista and dx10 only, how could you run it with a 7800gt?
now i gotta pay for 3dmark, screw it. i for one am not gonna bother downloading this crapware.

You need a GF8 series for this 3D Mark
Let me see if I understand how this program works. Theres several settings to choose from:
Extreme
High
Performance
Entry
Custom
It seems that its based on the resolutions your monitor supports. I can only run entry mode due to still running a 19" LCD for now. I havent fit the 28" monitor into my budget yet and it may be a little longer before that happens.
Whatever your score is, you need to post the prefix to it to show what mode you were running. Mine is like this:
E17071 3DMarks (for Entry mode)
Simply posting numbers doesnt let you know anything so be sure to post the prefix to it.
Also, I tried running in the higher modes but my system crashed and gave the bsod once the girl got to the waves on the seadoo. It ran stable at entry mode only. I didnt try custom.
My system stats are as follows:
EVGA 780i motherboard
OCZ 6400 DDR2 4G's
EVGA 8800GTX ANS3 768mb video cards (SLI x2)
Q6600 GO Step 2.4 @ 3.0
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit (SP1 installed)
NEC Opticlear Multisync 90GX2 LCD monitor
I know the monitor isnt sufficient to utilize the video cards but this was to be done 1st before getting the 28" monitor.
I'm getting the following error right after the 1st cpu test, before the second can start....
I installed the newest beta nvidia drivers specific to 3dmark vantage, and I still get the error. Still googling for a fix...

Isn't that what the P stands for at the beginning of the score? Penis points? LOL thats beautiful! Good Job FM. Although i know they didnt do it intentionally....its still funny.

Exactly what I was thinking. I guess with this move they officially screwed themselves...
Theres still a lot of bugs on this program. They released it too early obviously. You can go to their help section and half of it is about buggy error messages and how to deal with them.
Reading my post above, do you guys think I can only run the entry mode due to the size of my monitor? Or is this another bug? The message pops up something about supporting specific resolutions so it seems its the size of the monitor. Right?...
LOL i'm not posting my scores lol
I'm goin to wait until new versions of vantage are out...its too soon. The graphics in the first game demo were terrible and it lagged me out...makes sense?????!?!?!?!?!?!

Yeah, I'm waiting for a new version too, a REAL free version that also doesn't need the internet to view scores. I guess I'll be sticking to 06 for a few more years.

I never got that option, i could only choose performance so my score should have the prefix P

We care primarily about graphics performance in games, not synthetic benchmarks, and 3DMark scores should never be used to replace real game benchmarks. However, the very forward looking nature of the tests, and its propensity for using graphics features that hammer GPUs in ways current games don't, make it a very useful additional tool in evaluating GPU performance. At some point in the future its relevance will be diminished, but now, in the early days when increasing 3DMark performance often means increasing real game performance, it's a good benchmark." |

yeah this benchmark is stupid.
Sorry I dont have a link for you I dont have internet access at home where my gaming computer is.
EDIT: How did PraxGTIs GPU score come out so high! His was almost twice mine
any tweaks or anything? My GPU is already overclocked. Is it new drivers?

I have a 8800GTS overclocked way faster than a stock 9800GTX. I think I figured out he has two of them

CPU Score: 6799
Does that score seem kind of low to you? For some reason I get poor performance in alot of games (choppy graphics every three-five seconds for a few miliseconds)..
I've noticed that when running Vantage (and 3dMark 06 for that matter) the CPU-tests seem to run very poor/slow.. Any ideas as to what can be wrong? =/
Ok guess I will also have a go here :
Pc Specs :
Core 2 Duo E4600 going at 2.6

Guess that's not a too bad score by the looks of things
