Hi I looking to build a new computer just for doing work and surfing the Internet, watching movies, listening to music, burning movies, msn and maybe playing some games (but nothing like crysis) so i dont really need anything THAT powerful. My budget is around 1000-1100.
Heres what it will look like:
Antec Sonata III 500 Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 500W Power Supply
ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 512-P2-N773-AR GeForce 8600GTS 512MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E8400
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
Pioneer 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model DVR-115DBK
ASUS Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model DVD-E616A3T OEM
This comes to about 1000 on newegg so theres lots of room for improvement... That being said I'd like your opinions on it and anywhere i could improve. Thanks :)

Everything looks good. Good choice on P35. I however would go with the ABIT IP35. Just my preference especially after reading some of the reviews.
You might want to look at the HD3870 or HD3850. They perform twice as well than 8600's and are about the same if not just a few bucks more.
Everything else looks fine though. Have fun!
