The @ and " keys on my keyboard are the wrong way round, in other words
when I type @ I get " and when I type " I get @. How can I correct
this, to get the proper characters with the " and @ keys?

Change your regional settings to a UK keyboard. Control Panel -Regional and
Language options.

Since you have a ...uk E-mail address, I assume you're in the UK.

You're set for the US keyboard layout. Change to the UK layout at
Control Panel | Regional and Language Settings. On the Languages
tab, click Details, then go the Settings tab.
