I am thinking of buying a copy of Adobe Premier Pro CS3

The minimum system requirement is :

Intel Pentium 4 (2GHz processor for DV; 3.4GHz processor for HDV), Intel Centrino, Intel Xeon (dual 2.8GHz processors for HD), or Intel Core Duo (or compatible) processor; SSE2-enabled processor required for AMD systems

1GB of RAM for DV; 2GB of RAM for HDV and HD

My system is:

Dell Inspiron 9300
Intel Pentium M Processor 1.73GHZ 794MHZ
1 GB of RAM

Does anyone know if this will be enough to run Premier Pro CS3?

Thats a tough one, kind of pushing the envelope...

If I upped the RAM to 2 GB would it be much better?

if you already know Premier, my guess is you'll be "hitting the wall"
hardware wise in short order.

for learning the program, that system with 2 GB is adequate.

depends a little on what OS. if you're using Vista you will probably
experience the proverbial Desire to Upgrade that much sooner.

Yea I am just going to be learning on it, nothing heavy duty.

You'll be immensely frustrated with 1GB, and 2GB will work, but not tremendously well. A more modern system with 4 gigs of RAM would be a better choice, but just for the basics, that setup with 2 gigs should work OK.
