Forum Overclocking : General Discussion Higher CPU Frequency or Tighter RAM Timings?

I just got my 8gb of Mushkin RAM and cant seem to run it at 4-4-4-12-2T with my CPU overclocked only 20 MHz. I can overclock the processor if I set my ram to 5-5-5-18-2T. Which is better, tighter RAM timings or higher CPU overclock?

------------------------------ Processor - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ @ 3.2Ghz
Motherboard - Asus M2N32-SLi Deluxe Wireless Edition
Power Supply Unit - Corsair 520W CMPSU-520HX

CPU overclock. RAM timings have little to no real world effect.

I'm the one that told him that a Silver Arrow will get to 5Ghz, so I'll take the blame...
