I am thining about it because i am not satisfied with Crysis and Gears of War play. Even medium is laggy and Low just doesn't look good. But everything else like BF2 runs great but i still need to try oblivion. Is it better to get the 512mb and can they we linked together with all memory used?

Well, newegg has an EVGA for 129 and a rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814130082

My friend recently picked up a second GTS 320, he does not complain about his performance in Crysis and GoW should be fine as well.

You cannot use a 320 and a 512, you CAN use a 640 but with the 320 being 129(99 w/MIR) another 320 is more ideal.

For the price I'd say it's worth it to get the second card.

for $100 i would, but i wouldn't spend more then that.

Reply to babybudha

why not, for $100 you get better performance and the experience of setting up an SLI config.

You'll have a memory limitation at high res, which is why I didn't buy a second 320MB GTS (high priced back then too). BUT, with current low prices I think it's a very valid option. Some games/resolutions/settings you'll have 9800GTX level performance. Go for it if the mobo and power supply is ready for it.

What resolution are you gaming at? I have a GTS 320 in my rig clocked at 589 (core) / 920 (mem) and i had no trouble playing crysis at mixed med/high settings at 1280*1024. If you haven't already, you might try o/c-ing the card and see what that does for you. If you're still not satisfied, another GTS in wuite cheap, just remember that you'll still be quite limited by the 320 Mb even in SLI as was stated above.

go for it. I remember before Christmas, I was looking an an 8800GTS 320MB at over $200! Definately a steal. I don't know why everyone's ignoring the 8800GTS 320MB as a budget card these days though... maybe just because it's 'old' G80. Who care's IMO.
