Need driver for port. DVD

I have an Acer netbook running Vista. I am trying to connect an LG Portable Super Multi Drive. I don't think the netbook has an drivers for DVD machines. How do I get them? At one time I remember that I bought one on line. My Acer crashed. I got it running again.
