Ok. I'm not entirely ready yet to do this but I am pretty sure that this is the hardware I want:

Antec 900 case
Intel G0 Q6600 @ maybe 3.0Ghz
Tuniq Tower 120
MSI P35 Neo2-FR mobo
XFX 8800gt 512mb
RAM DDR2 800Mhz 4GB (2x2GB) Not sure what brand yet
Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi ExtremeGamer
OCZ GameXStream 700w PSU

Also not sure about the HDD and Optical Drive yet.
But I'm just wondering what anyone else thinks about this? And could I possibly need any higher wattage PSU for this? Thanks

That psu should be more than enough. You might consider losing the sound card and spend the money on somethine else. You'd won't hear a difference from onboard anyway. Besides, Creative had some driver problems recently.

Everything else looks good as is.

I'd upgrade the video card to 8800GTS G92 512MB. Also, I'd rather get a Gigabyte or Asus motherboard. GA-P35-DS3L or GA-P35-DS3R, for example.

PSU: a 550VX could easily handle that setup and it's usually cheaper.

RAM - Crucial Ballistix would be my first choice, or maybe Corsair, whatever is on sale.

HDD - any Seagate 7200.11 or WD6400AAKS or WD7500AAKS.

Optical: SH-S203B, for example.

Ditch the Sound Blaster if you use Vista. For XP it's a good choice. For Vista either stick with onboard or buy an HT Omega.

ok. but wouldnt it be better to have that soundcard? the pc will be for mostly gaming. and i've done a little more research and it looks like 550w will work. idk about mobo, ive heard a lot of good things about this one.

The regular consumer can rarely hear a difference between onboard and soundcards.  My family computer has a Xtrememusic in it and I have onboard.  The only difference i hear is a stronger bass and cleaner sound, but its the speakers.  I have Logi. X-2300s downstairs which have an awesome bass and speakers, and using 20 watt altec lansings from Wal-Mart up here.

Asus and Gigabyte have a better record when it comes to P35 motherboards.  Theyre all very good.  Ive heard good things on that MSI also, but ive seen that the MSIs dont overclock as well as others

Yeah, onboard audio is pretty good these days. Try it. You can always add a sound card later.
