I think I may have misposted this in another section so I appologize for the mix up.
I have a question that I was hoping that someone would be able to assist me with.
Below is the item i just purchased on newegg. In my experience, I have never noticed that DDR2 memory could be chip set specific to a particular motherboard until now. I thought it was just the number of pins and if your motherboard recognized the speed of memory.
If you look below, the specs from newegg show under "features" a list of intell based motherboard chipsets.
Does this mean that this particular memory will not work on an AMD AM2 board (Asus-M2N-SLI Deluxe) that is able to read 240pin 1066 speed memory?
I'm unsre what this "features" section means. Can anyone please fill a clueless guy in?
thanks!
Craig
