Zire 71 keeps resetting after using camera - please help!

Hi,

I am having a problem with my Zire 71 which up until recently has been
working beautifully.

Every time I slide it open to use the camera *and don't take a
picture* it will reset itself once I've closed it again. If I take a
picture, its fine and will behave as expected.

What could be causing this? I've looked around but no joy. Any light
shed would be very welcome!
