I have read countless threads and am just wondering what some opinions are on the best air cpu cooler? Or at least the top 3 out there.

Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme as far as I'm aware at the moment.

Thermalright ultra 120 extreme is the best.
Xigmatek hdt-s1283 offers nearly the same performance at half the price

Well then, thanks for that. I geuss it's gonna be the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Heatsink, for my build in a few weeks. But I will probably ditch the fan that comes with it in place for (2) Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F 120mm, one on each side. Thanks for the feedback.

IMO, the Zerotherm Nirvana is the best price/performance ratio air cooler avaialble, since after MIR you can grab one for about ~39.99 at newegg.
Oh, and it looks and acts like the uber-sexy beast it is.

Q6600 GO 3.4 ~35 idle, ~45-55 load.
