Hi,

i have a X1950pro in my system and until i played Cod4 i never had any problems. With cod4 however i experience from time to time video freeze.
Is this game so demanding that the graphiccard overheads? I tried already all tweaking tools, but i seen that the fan speed is fixed at 40% speed. Not sure how you can change that.

I am already thinking of purchasing another card, since i can not solve that.

I run the game (or any game for that matter) in 1440x900 which is the native resolution of my lcd. Any lower resolution looks awefull.

Hope someone can give me a tip. i really liked the ati card, but like this it is unplayable for competitive gaming.

I can run COD4 just fine on my Radeon X1950 Pro.

Download ATI Tray Tools. It will allow you to tweak the core clock, memory clock, and fan speed for your X1950.

One thing: I bought the Sapphire X1950 Pro Ultimate which was factory overclocked to 581 MHz core clock and 1.6 GHz memory clock. The memory clock setting was causing my video RAM to overheat, so I had to underclock it a bit to around 1.5 GHz for stable operation with no artifacts.
