Hello. If you read my thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/ [...] gt-74beta. However I found that this problem is because after doing some 2D gaming and light 3D gaming such as CS, my card doesn't use its full power any more when playing 3D games. I checked with rivatuner. After playing CS, using nifscope, or playing red alert 2,  the temp of GPU in oblivion and crysis were only a few degrees above idle temp, and of course, FPS dropped by 2/3 or even more. means my GPU wans't being used much. This problem existed in 169.21 WHQL and 174.74 beta. My BIOS version is 62.92.24.00.02 (EVGA-N801-512-AR). And one very strange thing is, before playing some 2d games, GPUZ showed I have PCI-E link @ 16x, but after, GPUZ showed PCI-E  link only @ 1x. Does anyone know the problem?

my specs:

E6300 @ 2.8GHz 1.2375V
EVGA 8800GT 650/950/1620
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 rev 1.0
PCP & C silencer 750W
OCZ Gold XTC DDR2-800 5-5-5-15 1.8V

I'll get back tommorow cuz it is late (2:48), anyway, dont fret about the 1xline as motherboards do that to save energy.

---------------
Exile- Kreia what are you Jedi or Sith?

Kreia- Does it matter? Of course it does; such titles allow us to rip the galaxy into two halves: light and dark, good and bad. Perhaps I am neither, and I hold both as what they really are: pieces to a puzzle.
