Hey,
I'm building my first computer I've ever got,
So now I'm looking for parts,
I'm taking a E8400 or Q9450 CPU,
22 or 24" screen,
antec 900 or P182 or PC690 case
some power suply

But now I'm looking at the RAM thing... :p
I've never knew anything about parts in a computer, still now I don't know much, but it's better :D

But about RAM I have no clue what it's function is...

And no clue about what to take? Does it depends on what u are going to use the computer for?
I'm going to game a lot, some surfing and downloading and music that's it....

So what should I get?
DDR2? DDR3? 800? 1066? etc...
What does all that stands for?

Thanks!!! (for solving a big mystery about computers (for me)!)

And what's the factor to look at to choose between all these 4-4-4-12 DDR2 800 RAM's?
Just the branch? And what about the V? does that makes a difference? higher= better? And what the best to overclock?

I tought maybe, following this theory, the 75$ 53xMHz 3-3-3-8 would be even better than the 800MHz...
Not true probably :p

So I'm going for 800 for sure,
now I don't know how much I need... What does this depends on?
I am going to game, a E8400 or Q9450
