I am looking for a good low-profile video card. I know that it will not be able to play the newest games perfectly but, something cheap and good enough for playing most games with a decent framerate.

I have an HP Slimline s3100n.
AMD X2 4000+
Windows Vista Home Premium
1GB Ram
Integrated GeForce 6150 LE
160W Power

The link has been shortened by the forum (by default).

Leave out the spaces.

Can't tell if it has an AGP or PCI-e port. It may not have either, just the old regular PCI ports.

The main limitation is your power supply, 160w total is very tiny and you will be limited to budget video cards which will not be enough to play most games with decent frame rates.

I would probably recommend the nVidia GeForce 8400GS video card, below is a link (PCI-e):

By default it is attached to a standard size bracket, but a low profile bracket is included so all you need is a screw driver to exchange the brackets.

If you have an AGP port, then you could probably install a Radeon X1050:

I hope you have low expectations and I cannot guaranty your power supply will be enough for either card.

Thanks. It is a pci-e slot. The 8500GT requires a 350WATT power supply so that probably wont work. Although a person on the TigerDirect page said it does work with slimline pc's. Will have to check it out.
