new build GA-EP35C-DS3R won't start

Hi, just put together my first build:
GA-EP35C-DS3R
Intel E8400
2Gb OCZ SLI-Ready Edition PC6400 RAM
Geforce 8800GT

When I try to power on the system, the motherboard just makes one long continuous beep. Nothing else happens. I've looked in the manual to see what the beep means but it doesn't say.

If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Are the CPU and GPU power cables plugged in? The former has four pins and the latter has six. Video cards in particular will howl and do nothing if they don't get enough power.
The four-pin cable for the CPU is an entirely separate cable, not the little addition to the 20-pin main power connector (which turns it into a 24-pin connector that your mobo takes). On your mobo, the socket for it is on the edge, behind the keyboard and mouse ports.
