Hello,I downloaded aol, then shut the computer to get lunch when I went to turn it back on I got a message " a disk read error occurred press crtl alt del to restart it restrts with the same message I don't have any if the disk it came with this computer was given to me by my friend and it's from 2006 so no warrenty please help!!!

You also need to run a scan on the hard-drive to check for errors before you do anything. If the drive is bad, the restore partition won't work, you need to order a restore disk from Acer. Oh, and replace the drive of course.
