Hi all, PC has died, failing POST - beeps seem to indicate dead GPU - a 256MB XFX 7800GTX. There's no PCI-E in this PC, just AGP. Can anyone recommend a replacement card? Similar performance (I can't find the card in the benchmarks). DX10 not a requirement.
If it's dead, RMA it, XFX will most likely stand to their lifetime warranty and replace and maybe even upgrade you.

Exile- Kreia what are you Jedi or Sith?
Kreia- Does it matter? Of course it does; such titles allow us to rip the galaxy into two halves: light and dark, good and bad. Perhaps I am neither, and I hold both as what they really are: pieces to a puzzle.

There is no such thing as a 7800GTX AGP. If it's a 7800GTX, you have PCI-e. if it's AGP it is probably a 7800GS.
What you need to do is test the card in another system. Next best is test another card than needs an external power cable in your system. If you can't do either, do you have another power supply to test in it? It could be the power supply and not the video card.
