Hi i am overclocking my E7200 with my GA-G31M-S2L motherboard.
There seems to be a problem with the PCI Express frequency cos
I cant overclock the cpu to more than 3GHz unless I increase the
PCI Express freq. to arnd 125MHz. Why is this so?
I plan to overclock my CPU to 3.8(400x9.5)GHz. I have 2x2gb DDR2 800
Kingston rams and my graphics card is HIS HD4850 ICEQ4 Turbo. I do
not overclock my graphics card or my ram whenever I OC the cpu. I also
have sufficient cooling for my ram and I have installed an aftermarket cooler
for my cpu.
Can anyone with the same motherboard and cpu suggest the optimum
settings to get to 3.8GHz?
You bought a budget mobo with integrated video. You will never be able to overclock it more than a few hundred megaherts. Why? Well when you overclock the fsb you also are overclocking the video.
You should have done your homework and you would have known you dont buy integrated video mobo's for overclocking.
