Remove write protected

i have 1 question....i have 1 pendrive but don't no why i can't delete the data in there... and then try 2 format but cannot..... when i start formatting it appear "the disk is write protected"... i don't no how to format this pendrive....i hope u can help me how can i format my pendrive......plz help me
