It's just a regular 7200 RPM 160GB SATA hard drive I got off Ebuyer, which actually had good reviews. it's a pain in the arse when playing COD4 though, the maps load slow and it's all laggy altough my FPS is in the steady hundreds. I've scanned for errors, and it's fine. Also, I only bought it in March so it definitely should not be past its prime yet. Any help will be appreciated.
Would fragmentation cause such a huge slowdown in access speeds? Being an impatient person, I've never done a full defrag ever in my life. I also get itchy about wasting power so it doesn't really work for me. But I'll try it anyway.
