Hey,

Is it possible to test a mobo with a PSU if I don't have processor? What about with memory?

What would a mobo do if I hook it up to a PSU and don't put in a CPU?

(asking 'cause I might end up buying a mobo a little before I buy my chip and want to be able to test it before return period ends..)

No, it's not possible. The mobo will do nothing. Buy the two at the same time. :p

To be logical (and just silly) it is possible, however, your test will conclude all of about nothing.
You can plug in the psu and fire it up (with some rewiring) but don't expect anything to happen.
