I use 2 monitors on my gaming rig. The games I play only use 1 of course but on the other I have nvmonitor and amd power monitor running. I like to know temps while gaming. Does this slow down my fps in games?

It shouldn't. Not to any noticable degree, anyway.

Nope I agree with dagger. Though you will see a huge performance hit if you have the game utilize multiple monitors or you have something graphic intensive on the other screen. But the average 2d application won't use enough video power.

It might if you run something cpu intensive.
And it will effect the game but not that much.

Running SupCom on dual monitors, forget it.

Doesn't running 2 monitors Split your GPU resources? I remember playing some older games that support dual monitors and they just crawled. I also used to game on one monitor and have Aim on the other monitor and still crawled a bit. I wouldn't put anything on the 2nd monitor and just let it go blank. That way all resources are on your Primary monitor.

When you say you temp monitors running on the other display you mean you have your desktop visible? I would recommend an OSD of some sort. Riva Tuner is quite nice and what I use to show FPS and temps while gaming. It put items in the top corner so I can see them.
