Hi ,
my thinkpad t60 ,(hitachi SATA hard disk -win XP )laptop stopped booting(after 2 years) with a error "Error loading operating system".I tried to re install a new OS but it says "Setup did not detect any hard disk drives ".

Not sure which part of the hard disk is gone bad.
should I be able to connect a SATA--to--USB cable and pull data out ?

Any help greatly appreciated

thanks
sahil

Do hear any clicking or tapping sounds when the computer tries to read your hard disk?
