I've read a lot of conflicting views on disabling pagefile.
I will be running 8gbs of DDR2-1066 RAM on a 64bit Vista system. Mainly for gaming but also a lot of multitasking (songbird + game + browsers, for instance).
I have a 1 tb hd plus a couple externals, so hard drive space is not an issue.
I was initially planning on setting up a pagefile partition of maybe 24 gigs and fixing the pagefile size to fill most of that partition.
However, I have read many people stating loading screens in particular move much faster with the pagefile disabled as long as you have enough RAM (at 8 gb, I feel safe there for now).
What are your thoughts?
