there are no pentium 4's with 4 cpu's so you would be mistaken, also if it is a p4, your talking about 2 diffrent socket types, socket 478 is p4, and is a downgrade to your e6600 whick is sockedt 775, and faster then any p4 that was made.

^There are P4s on LGA 775, like the P4 540:

Yes, and you are correct about the P4s NEVER being Quad cores. Intel never released P4 Quads.

OMG what are you doing OP?

I know, but there are no p4's with 4 cores, any p4 out there is slower then what he had, and the p4's that were made in 775 were very small and limited in quantity, to a almost non existant extent. BUT you are right.

He's obviously just a troll.
Also, there where MANY P4s made in socket 775, maybe you didn't have one back then since most enthusiasts where using Athlons or Opterons at the time.

Still, it's stupid to say they where made in very limited quantities when they where made for more than 2 years.

not really, they didnt sell as well as the other socket 775's and when compared to socket 478 i would be suprised if they passed 10% of them also, limited numbers, they were only a holdover. Welcome to reality
