Overclocking technique

Is there a perticular technique? as i cant seem to get a 9x333 FSB oc on a Q6600 and cant see why (this is with multiple voltages up to 1.5 v) so can anyone instruct me how to do it also ive got good coolers so heat shouldnt be a prob. mobo 680i

Check out the excellent overclocking guides in the forum stickies.

PS - 680i chipsets have a lot of problems and probably won't overclock too well, so it might be your board.

thing is that in reviews my mobo was apprently a good overclocker and the test cpu was a quad core
