The GTS G92 is the best of them all, as you may have guessed. The 8800GT is about 10% worse then a 8800GTS G92 depending on resolution etc.... Both of the G92 cards (8800GT;8800GTS G92) will trash both 320MB, and 640MB varieties of the older 8800GTS.

Of course, a 9600gt perform only slightly better than 640mb g80 8800gts.

Forget the 320MB 8800GTS as the evga 8800GS Superclock outperforms it for less money.

BTW, notice the 575/1700 8800GS hanging with the 9600GT no problem. The evga is much higher clocked at 650/1900. It's a steal for $105 AR.

The 384mb 8800gs sure is cheap, but just doesn't cut it for serious gaming. Check chart.

Check what charts? Look at expreview and if anything it beats the 9600GT. Trades blows anyway. The evga has 75MHz core/200 MHz DDR over the one expreview reviewed. I think you need to rethink your opinion of that card a bit.

Edit: I'll admit it's not a high res high fsaa card though.

No arguement there, the G92 GTS for that price no matter the brand is an outstanding option and the best performance for under $250. And that would be why it has been out of stock a few days. ;)

I don't like the OP's evga GTS for $225 AR though. At least grab the in stock PNY for $190 or the XFX for $220 with COD4.

Yeah just don't even ask the question unless the 8800GTS/512 is out of your price range. Just get it and be happy.
