In order of suggest-ability:

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H - $100
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128090
ASUS M3A78-EMH - $90
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131273

and the CPU to go along with that:
AMD 5000+ BE - $88 w/ free shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103194

or

GIGABYTE GA-G33M-S2L - $95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128085
ASUS P5K-VM - $110
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131187

You could also check out the nVidia 7100/7150 platforms, they're a little cheaper, but only have 2 ram slots and are single-channel only.

and the CPU:
Intel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz - $70 w/ free shipping
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116052

I would side with the AMD, simply because it's a better platform as a whole. Intel's platform isn't bad, but it's overpriced and doesn't have a lot of the features the 780G does.

Edit: Sorry I didn't really read the post. The 6750 is a good CPU. If you hadn't decided on the CPU yet I would try to sway you to AMD because of price and features, but either of the motherboards I listed will compliment that processor just fine. Don't go for the G35 Asus board, I've read it's had numerous problems and it's not worth it's $130 price tag.

^ bias?? huh?? OF COURSE I'M BIASED anyways:
get a 7150/6150PV, stay away from Intel graphics (unless you can fit a low profile card in that box). If your going intel get the E2160 not the E2180.
The difference in E2160 and E2180 is only a couple bucks, I think it's worth the couple bucks for a lower FSB, and possibly a 'higher' binned CPU (probably not, but it's not lower binned).

Take your pick, they're all pretty comparable. Note the maximum memory for all of them is 4GB (2x2GB). If you think you wanna go for 8GB eventually get the G33-based boards I listed before.
