I am going to college next year and am looking to sell my old computer since I'm going to get a laptop.
How much can I expect to get for it used?

System Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 +3500
Abit AV8 Mobo
80 GB SATA HDD
40 GB ATA HDD
1 GB RAM
DVD-/+RW Drive
DVD-ROM drive
floppy drive
HDA Mystique 7.1 Sound Card (Dolby Live!)
G Wireless card

Thanks

if this is a budget build why do you need a dedicated sound card?its waste of money.and isnt floppy not being use any more(USB driver anyone???)?better get the 780G or the new nvidia mobo with the 8200 chipset.

iluvgillgill,

I believe he is talking about selling the build he already has, not building a new one.

elchico08,
I am not to sure about selling prices and whatnot, but I would say not more than $300-400 if that. The hard drives are small probably about $60 for the pair, hardly any ram 1 gb $30, if I am not mistaken that processor is going for less than $50, not sure about the mb but let say $50. The rest of the stuff except the sound card and wireless G card are crap, give them like $30 for everything. The sound card and wireless g at 50 each give you 100 for the pair. Totals up to be $320.

alright cool I guess I'll throw it on craigslist for $400 and have people offer me a little less.

I just don't want to sit on it like I did with my old system cause this stuff becomes worthless very quickly

Take out the sound card and sell that separate on ebay.

Sell the rest on craigs list for $300 max.
Probably would have to take $200-$250 for a sale.

Those parts are around $300 total if they're new, with wrapper and everything.

I suggest you do a garage sale and con some old sob into buying it for more. :sol:
