Also, one more question. Is 4gigs of 800 ram equal to 2 gigs of 1200 ram? or close to equal?

No 4 Gigs is 4 gigs that’s a quantity.
800 and 1200 are the speed in MHZ... The 1200 is higher MHZ but the latency is also important (CL4 or 5 or 6 ETC.)

1200MHZ ram CL4 will be faster then 800MHZ ram CL4. It will also cost you $300 more. Also, the difference is not that great especially for the price difference.


Both of the following are on the certified vendor list CL4 and cheap..
