Buffer overflows

Hi, recently i have been getting warning messages from mcaffe that there are buffer overflow problems on my computers hard drive, i have searched for solutions but cant find any good ones could you please recommend a freeware app that will stop these overflows. thanks in advance!!!

This error usually crops up when McAfee considers something a virus, mistakenly or otherwise. What particular application is running when you experience the error?

only when i open the folder i made to store my movies, i have run many antivirus, malware and spy-ware scans but nothing comes up
