Hello everyone,

This is my first post on Tom's Hardware and I was hoping someone might know something about this situation.

At my office we have two cable modems from the same ISP and two accounts with this ISP. However I have noticed that both of these cable modems are hooked into the same wire using a regular cable splitter.

Does anyoine know if this setup would affect my total bandwidth in any way? Or do these modems use different frequency ranges on the same wire?

Thanks in advance!
Neil

Nope. The medium connecting both modems to your ISP can handle a higher bandwith then either modem can do on its own.
