I have had the following setup for over two years which has been working with no problems. One laptop running Vista, one desktop running XP and a HP C6180 printer and a Netgear RangeMax WPN824 v2 router. Starting about a month ago, my printer drops the channel being used by my router. I fix the problem by turning my printer off then on but the problem returns within hours.
My router was using channel 6 for the 2 years I had no problem. Since I thought that maybe I was no getting some kind of interference I switched the channel to 11 and after a while to channel 1 --- without fixing the problem.
The only other thing I see that is different when I print out my Network Configuration Report is the loss of the Access Point HW Address which reports 000000000000 (channel reports a 0) when I am having the problem.
Can anyone please help me?
