Which of these Boards?

I plan to overclock, however i'm going with a dual core instead of a quad. Still don't know if the 4 phase power on the dk x48-t2rs is going to be adequate, but otherwise I love the board and it's at the right price; if it's not adequate, I listed the lp as one of my options. My only concern with the P5Q is the 8x downspeed for crossfire, but i'm starting to doubt that i'll go crossfire, due to the microstuttering issues; I love that it's 16-phase power. As for the gigabytes, the ds4 has great reviews out there, and it sounds like a tried and true board, but i'm curious what the 60$ more dq6 might have to offer over it. Primarily, the nb/sb cooling on both the p5q and dk x48-t2rs make me want to go with one of those, just want to get some opinions.

P45 is not a good idea if you plan on crossfire, 8x just isn't enough for the latest graphics cards. And if you don't plan on crossfire, there are cheaper p45 boards for under $100 that don't support cf, but perform the same otherwise.

For crossfire, x48-ds4 is the best among them for both performance and value. dq6 is the same, except 2 more sata ports for more money. Not worth it.

As for microstuttering, it's reportedly been solved on 4870x2 (2gpu on single card):

Yah that was my concern with the p5q. Also, I like the dsr4, and it's probably my best choice, but what about the DFI boards?

I thought the p5q pro or deluxe would be good for crossfire... isn't 8x PCIe 2.0 equivalent to 16x PCIe 1.1

I'm just learning a lot of this stuff and I read the above somewhere, please correct me if I'm wrong and please expand on why the p45 would not be good with crossfire on the new vid cards as I'm planning a possible crossfire with two 4850's.

Cheers.

Well what you heard is true, however it's kinda theoretical. PCIe 2.0 8x is by spec equal to 16x PCIe 1.1, but it's questionable whether it truely performs that well in comparison to 1.1. Also, in the case that it does, these cards are supposed to be geared towards PCIe 2.0 16x. By these cards I mean the new nvidia and ati cards.

Well that helps me make up my mind as far as whether to go x48 or p45. Anyone know anything about the DFI boards though?
