Is my 4830 bad?

i try to oc ,tests fine but i get screen freezez and screean changes to white with verticle lines even on a mild oc 620/930 ore even 620/ with stock 900.
this card is caeable of way more isnt it? why does this always happen to MEEEEEEE!! lol

have you tried to up the fan speed i always have to when ocing my 4870cf

yah i tried that too i was thinking maybe 480 watt isnt good enuff for a psu or could my ram cause this problem?

I haven even been able to overclock mine at all. What are you using to overclock with . I have heard bad things with 4830's and using cat 9.4.

I've got Powercolor 4830s. The memory was a real problem for me, as the RAM cooler is glued down to the chips. After removing this, and using the tiniest tiny drop of TIM, as well as applying fresh TIM to the core, I'm able to sail past 800/1050, and I'm still working on the clock.
I've got the fan ramped up to 100%, and all the other fans in my case to medium (Antec 1200), but with all the different designs of the 4830, my experiences will be different to the Sapphire/HIS boards. And, indeed, I may be unique in the Powercolor boards. Who knows?
