in the bios i have an option called EIST should i leave this enabled or disable it?
i am running at stock setting on an E8400 with a rampage formula.
 
I heard that enabling eist can cause bsod`s?

Enhanced Intel SpeedStep. It clocks the CPU down when it isn't being used. Leave it on if you aren't overclocking.

Yep, it can only cause bsod if you overclock. Might as well keep it off though, for typical home usage, the savings on electricity bill comes down to about a few dollars a year. Kind of pointless.
