I have a question for you guys

if i build a PC with 790i nvidia motherboard
4 Gigs of ddr3 ram from patriot wit 1800mhz clock speed
3 of the nvidia 9800 GTX in SLI
2 of maxtor VelociRaptor hard drives with 10,000 RPM
and core 2 duo E8300

would 1,000 watt powersupply be enough

Would ultra X3 be considered a sgood power supply ? i coulnd find it in listings of powersupplies from tier list.
Its Ultra X3 modular power supply with rating of 1000 watts

Not really, there a rebranded psu, they say ultra, but all ultra does is slap a sticker on them, after they have bought them from whoever. Antec, is a good one, along with a few others, i just cant remember right now. Remember, your power supply if its bad could screw up your whole system, dont try to take any shortcuts here, save money somewhere else.

^ Most PSU brands are just bought from other companies and rebranded. Antec gets theirs from Seasonic and Channelwell Technologies if I recall correctly.
