I have a major problem with my BFG 9800 GX2. The pc i have was bought today. It costs nearly 4000 USD and ruined my night. The videocard is not working properly. With another video card, X 700 1st time the pc went on BIOS, recognised all the components, etc. Then, switched to BFG 9800 gx2, connected with those 2 red cables with 8 and 6 pins, the sistem wont start, no bios, no nothing. Beside calling the store for malfunction of the videocard im asking 1st for help. Here is my sistem:

1 Hard disk Western Digital 150 GB SATA 10000 rpm 16MB Raptor [ WD1500ADFD ]

 Cooler Tuniq Tower 120 [ Tower 120 ]
Sirtec HPC-1200-G14C [ HPC-1200-G14C ]
video BFG Tech GeForce 9800GX2 1GB DDR3 512-bit [ BFGR981024GX2E ]
Procesor Intel Core2 Quad Q9300 2.50 GHz Yorkfield Box [ BX80580Q9300 ]
Hard disk Samsung 500GB SATA-II 7200RPM 16MB SpinPoint T166 Series
Mushkin 4GB DDR2 1066MHz CL5 XP2-8500 Dual Channel Kit [ 996599 ]
 Antec Nine Hundred
 Asus Rampage Formula [ RAMPAGE-FORMULA ]

Tomorrow i will put vcard on another pc to check compability then ill try on the one i have with different source power. Is there any other solution? Please be kind and offer your help if you're aware that something might be wrong. Thank you for your time.

What's the wattage and 12v rail ampage on your powersupply? It might be too low.

Also, did you overclock without locking PCIE at 100mhz? 9800gx2 is particularly sensitive to it, while old x000 series, and ATI cards in general, have more tolerance.

Damn, that's one overkill of a psu. Maybe the card itself is defective? :na:
