Taskbar help, please help.

Hello,
I'm using Windows XP, and my taskbar is being all wacky. Sometimes It'll show what's open, and sometimes it wont. It's bugging me a lot. I've tried everything I could, even using kellys-korner. I've tried checking for viruses. No viruses. I really would like help on this. It's a pain. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
