Hi,

I wonder if I will get any benefit from formatting the entire HDD instead of just the system partition when reinstalling the OS. Is there any idea about it?

If you've got some clutter on your drive you will. Defrags and disk cleanups can help, but often times there are some scattered files and unused programs that we overlook when doing routine maintenance. If you are going to format the OS partition, I would just back up what you want to keep, and format the whole drive.
