Stopped Services in System Configuration Utility

Hi,
I have had to reinstall Windows Installer & it continues to be "stopped" in ms config, yet in services. msc it is started & on automatic. How can i get it "running" permanently in msconfig? Thanks for your time & help, regards John McHugh

MSFixit can correct install / un-install errors. Also might try "Installer cleanup utility", as an unsuccessful install or un-install may have left remnants or registry settings that are affecting it.
