Converting Fat32 to NTFS

Hello all, I've made a huge mistake with my 1TB WD external harddrive, due to not knowing some things until it was too late. I have about 800GB worth of information on it, but since it is fat32, there are files I cannot put on it, which I would love to be able to do. Is there any way for me to change it into a NTFS without formatting or losing any information on this? Please help. Thank you.

Run your Windows command prompt. You'll need to use the convert program that comes with windows (convert.exe). Further details here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb456984.aspx

Before you do anything though, I suggest you back everything up.
